Monk Fly, aka Chris Hancock, is a DJ, producer, and radio show host, based in Sydney Australia, with a love for abstract, dubalicous, fat future bass heavy beats.

He was a founding member of Elefant Traks, an Australian label now known for its beats, and The Frequency Lab, an artist run initiative. The Lab ran for 5 years as a venue and has since evolved into one of Australia’s most innovative boutique left-field music labels.

With his cohort, Johnny Faith, he hosts the only regular club night HEADROOM dedicated to left-field wonky. He also hosts “For The Heads” a weekly radio show on 2SER 107.3fm underground radio every Friday from 10.30 - 12pm with Johnny Faith. The show covers a wide and wonderful spectrum of bass driven, phat and funky electronica drawing influences from hip hop, dub, IDM, broken beat, dubstep and beyond! The show can also be streamed live online at http://www.2ser.com/ and you can read all about it on their blog: For The Heads.

“The Farside of Zen” EP, his first release for on Daly City Records is now available in all its glorious dubtastic insanity! It oozes and pumps out thick fatty psychedelic grooves and deep down-tempo beats incorporated with bass heavy MAAAAADNESS! Sweet. Your life is not complete without it.
